WOMEN: Promotes a Positive Workplace Environment

“A strong woman is a woman determined to do something others are determined not be done.”
Marge Piercy, poet

In the past generations, it was harder for women to be involved in the workplace rather than today. A false myth was believed that women are preferable to be staying at home managing the household and tending the kids. In later generations, this has gradually changed and currently, a lot of women are increasing in number in different workplaces. These women are not just increasing in numbers but were also achieving a lot and are having successful efforts that benefited their organizations.

Research studies show that there is a significant effect of having women in the workplace. In a Harvard Business Review survey 84% of the competencies, women scored significantly higher than their male counterparts. Although gender bias is still existing in the workplace, women are undeniably given the recognition they deserve.

A positive workplace environment contributes a lot to the productivity of employees which results in an increasingly satisfactory level of employers and customers. We can’t deny the fact that having women in the organization is a great factor. Women are more dedicated towards work, they have always a purpose to achieve a specific goal and that uplifts their spirit to do better which radiates to the people surrounding them. Women are also dynamic and flexible. Give them a bunch of work and definitely no matter how difficult it gets women would always get it done. Women being too emotional is regarded as a negative attribute towards work but that is a big mistake. Women tend to empathize and share their heartfelt thoughts towards work but this creates a positive environment. This gives comfort and creates a sense of positive communication towards employees but this doesn’t mean that they allow emotional decision-making at work.

As women, we should not let these presumptions define us. We are equally valuable to all genders. Believe that we can do what others can and be an inspiration in putting down all those barriers that society has built towards promoting a better place to work for all genders.
